Knowing, Loving, Serving…
So the World Will Know Christ’s Love

Overcome evil with good…

“Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” Romans 12:21

Dear Friends,

Thanks to all the rain it’s gotten hot and muggy this week! In an effort to go to the store less, and to better care for God’s creation, I’ve made the switch from my (beloved!) Smartwater bottles to a reusable water bottle. Trying to decide if I want a glass bottle with a silicone sleeve or an aluminum bottle with a straw. What do you use?

Here are some resources to support your spiritual life this week:

Pop Up Cards:  My five year old just made these to mail a “hello” to his classmates. Perhaps you’d like to make one for a certain Bethel staff member who is leaving us this week? *WINK WINK*  https://www.hellowonderful.co/post/diy-art-explosion-book/.

Reflecting on Forgiveness: This touched me on multiple levels.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L0HhHLHLHaA.

UMCSC Prayer Wall: Did you know the South Carolina United Methodist Conference has a Pandemic Prayer Wall? Share your prayers and join your hearts with our sisters and brothers around the state:  https://www.umcsc.org/prayerwall.

Bible Art Journaling: My friend Rev. Traci Smith lifts up the spiritual practice of meditative scripture drawing. http://www.traci-smith.com/spiritual-practice-bible-art-journaling-getting-started/.

Including People with Autism: We have some dear friends with two sons on the Autism spectrum.  I have been amazed how gracefully they have moved though this pandemic time without access to most of their usual support resources. Let us think about how we The Church might continue to support God’s special and beloved children around us!  https://network.crcna.org/disability-concerns/including-people-autism-church-life.

If you wish to talk with me at any time, do not hesitate to reach out.  I hold the entire Bethel Church family in my heart and prayers and ask the same of you.  We walk together. Until next week… when it will be June! Can you believe it?!
