Methodist Halloween Outreach
Bethel will host a “Trunk or Treat” on Sunday, October 30, starting at 5:00 p.m. The festivities will take place in the back packing lot. Pastor Reggie will be providing hot dogs, and the Boy Scouts will be making yummy smores on their fire pit. Dress up in your favorite costume (if you like) and get ready to enjoy some good food and candy with us!

All are invited to attend. Just a reminder. Please contact Pastor Julie or Martie Walker if you are interested in participating. You can call the church office at (803) 787-3058. Or call / text Pastor Julie (803) 319-6169 and let us know that you will be there. Also, if you would like to donate some candy for our event, please drop it off at the church office. We appreciate any help you can provide.
Things To Know for Trunk Or Treat 2022
All trunks must be in place by 4:45PM (clean up will begin around 6:45PM)
Decorate a Trunk: have fun decorating and dressing up in costume!
Decorate a Table – If you aren’t able to decorate your trunk, we would love for you to host a table! Simply stand behind a table (provided by Bethel) and hand out candy at the trick-or-treaters. Feel free to put a few decorations, pumpkins or flowers on your table along with the candy.
Candy – We need lots of candy! Please drop off candy at the church this week and/or bring your own to hand out next Sunday evening.
Food – Pastor Reggie and his wife Denice have once again volunteered to cook and serve hot dogs (pre-bagged with chips and water) If you would like to help them, please give Reggie a call. Our wonderful Boy Scouts, Troop 324, will be cooking s’mores over the fire pit.
Bathrooms – the PAB will be unlocked if anyone needs to use the restroom and we will have a volunteer inside monitoring safety and security.
Flow of traffic – We will be using brightly colored duct-tape to create a one-way flow of foot traffic through the event, and to help with social distancing. Our goal is to keep everyone safe!
Setup – We will ask all cars to park in a semi-circle around the back parking lot. Pastor Julie and Martie Walker will be there early to direct parking.
- The handicap parking near the PAB and the benches near the Scout Hut will be available for people to eat on if they would like. You are welcome to bring your own chair or blanket as well.
