Knowing, Loving, Serving…
So the World Will Know Christ’s Love

Welcome to new pastor Rev. Mason Cantey!

Dear Brothers and Sisters at Bethel,
I am looking forward to the beginning of our time together in ministry on June 30th!  My meetings with the SPRC and with Julie and the staff have been a blessing.  I know the same will be true as I meet and get to know each of you!
In the meantime, I thought I would tell you about my ‘hats.’  I wear a lot of them. You’re already aware of my ‘pastor’ hat, so I’ll skip that one.  Right now, the hat I wear most is my ‘dad’ hat.  I got that one when our daughter, Livi Mae, was born (I’m also dad to our five-year-old Boykin Spaniel, Laurel).  Next is my ‘husband’ hat.  It’s a trucker hat with “hard-headed, tender-hearted, long-legged teddy bear” written across the front.  After that is my ‘music’ hat.  You know those wedge-of-cheese hats Green Bay Packers fans wear?  This one is similar, except instead of cheese, it’s an acoustic guitar.  There are more, but the last one I’ll tell you about is my ‘woodworker’ hat.  It’s a top hat made of 2x4s.  I don’t get to wear it as often as I used to, but that’s okay.  I get fewer splinters now.
I will show you more ‘hats’ during our time together, and I look forward to seeing each of yours, as well!
In Christ,
