Rev. Reggie Rowell

Reggie Rowell is a 1974 graduate of Wofford College. He attended Yale University Divinity School, where he earned the Master of Divinity degree in 1977 and the Master of Sacred Theology degree in 1980. He has was ordained an Elder in 1979 and served churches in the Spartanburg, Hartsville, Marion, Anderson, Charleston, and Columbia districts in South Carolina as well as churches in Connecticut, New Jersey and West Virginia. Reggie also worked as a staff chaplain at MUSC in Charleston from 2007-2016.

Reggie is married to Denice Reynolds Rowell. They are both graduates of North Charleston High School and both grew up in North Charleston UMC.  Denice retired as a Region Director from AT&T and is enjoying her hobbies, traveling, and spoiling the grandkids. They currently live in Blythewood.

Reggie and Denice have two daughters and two grandchildren — Summer Tompkins and her son Riley who live in Columbia, and Rachel Madden and her daughter Scarlett who live in Hanahan. 

They have two rescue dogs: a chocolate lab named Mokie and a dachshund terrier mix named Jewel.
