We offer a HUGE thank you to all our Bethel folks who came out to support Bethel’s second annual TRUNK OR TREAT last night! We estimate having over 125 children and their families enjoy the event – and the rain held off until the last tables were being carried inside during clean up! Thanks be to God for our faithful volunteers and their commitment to sharing God’s Love (along with some sweet treats and spooky laughs) with our neighbors!

This morning we will be offering an in-person worship service in Bethel’s sanctuary at 10:00 a.m. and we would love to have you join us if you feel comfortable. We will continue to offer in-person worship each week (as well as virtual) as long as we discern it is safe to do so. We appreciate your continued prayers and support.

Welcome: Thank you for joining us! We pray you will be blessed by your time of worship with us today.

Prelude“I Sing a Song of the Saints of God”
While the prelude is played, we invite you to light or turn on the candle/lamp to acknowledge the presence of the Holy Spirit in your worship. Take a deep breath and give thanks for God’s presence.

In worship we will call their names, light a candle and celebrate the legacy of love and service held forever in our hearts.  We invite you to light a candle as you worship at home today, and remember the Saints in your life. The Saints remembered at Bethel UMC today are:

Mable Canty
Jim Wilson
Eleanor Etheridge
Nancy Johnson
Rosa Moon
Leo Foster
Charles E. Veach, Jr.
Betty Onley
Betty Shuler
Louise Holden
Horace Jackson
Bobby Pruett
Margie Dent

Pastoral Prayer:  Please join with Pastor Reggie as he prays today. Pray for yourself, your family, your church community, your city, your state, your country, our world. Pray for the global health situation, particularly for those who are sick, those who are lonely, those who are gripped by fear, those who are facing financial hardship, those without safe shelter, those who are hungry, our healthcare workers, our leaders in every realm. Give thanks, once again, for God’s faithfulness and seek God’s guidance for ways to offer love and grace in the world right now.

The Lord’s Prayer:  Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever.  Amen.

Anthem: Hymn of Promise”  Enjoy this lovely anthem sung by our Bethel Choir.

Scripture:  During the month of November we are taking a short break from our Year of Mark worship series. Today, Pastor Julie is preaching on John 4:4-15.  We invite you to open your Bibles (or the Bible app on your phone!) at home and read along.

Sermon:  Living Water from a Deeper Well”

Benediction:  Say these words aloud:
Let us go on our way rejoicing; Surrounded as we are by such a great cloud of witnesses, taking courage as we face each new day.
And in whatever good we choose to do, may we precede it with hope, accompany it with prayer, and follow it with thanksgiving.
And may the blessing of God Most Wonderful, whom the saints have trusted as Father, Son and Holy Spirit, be with us now and ever more

Go in Peace: Check on someone you love today.
